FAQ's

Do I need a passport?
Yes, New regulations will require all U.S. citizens to have a valid passport starting January 2007. A birth certificate and/or a driver's license will NOT be sufficient. If you are not a US Citizen, you need to contact your local Consulate office for documentation requirements. If you are under the age of 18 at the time of travel you will also need a notarized letter of permission from both parents.

Are the trips chaperoned?
No, you are treated as adults. We do have staff on site and a 24-hour emergency number is set up for any questions or needs a student may have. Please remember, you are responsible for your own actions.

Will someone meet our group at the airport upon arrival?
Yes, you will be met by our staff and transported to your hotel. The staff conducts a short orientation upon arrival explaining the special discounts, optional tours, week's activities and the do's and don'ts related to your destination.

How much money do I need?
Depending on your spending habits, we advise students to bring between $50 - $75 a day. Prices for food and beverage are similar to the U.S. but will change with the exchange rate in Mexico. Food and beverage prices in the Bahamas are slightly higher than the US.

What is the drinking age in Mexico & the Bahamas?
The drinking age is 18, but is loosely enforced. You may be carded for open bar parties, and a hotel will require you to be 18 to obtain an all inclusive bracelet. Student One Travel does not promote, endorse, sponsor, advocate or recommend the use of alcohol in any way.
